About

The Bell Ringer is an award-winning campus newspaper published by the Aiken Standard. The newspaper is editorially independent. It is produced by the students of Georgia Regents University with faculty advisement and occasional contributions from university faculty, staff and student readers. The Bell Ringer is a designated public forum and dedicated to bringing news to Georgia Regents University students, faculty, staff and the larger community. Its sections include news, arts and life, sports, opinion/editorials and special sections.

The Bell Ringer is always looking for new writers, photographers, columnists and cartoonists. If you’re interested in joining the staff, contact the editor-in-chief, Leigh Beeson, at kbeeson1@gru.edu. Contributions such as letters to the editor or opinion columns should also be submitted via email to the editor-in-chief.

The Bell Ringer is published on a bi-weekly basis during the fall and spring semesters.

The Bell Ringer can be found in or near most buildings on the Summerville, Forest Hills and Health Sciences campuses. The Bell Ringer office is located on the second floor of the Jaguar Student Activities Center, adjacent to the JagCard office.
