More than 11 clubs on campus raised money for the Haiti Relief Fund over the course of four days. James Tanner, coordinator of leadership and Greek life, said that after the first day of collections, students had raised a total of $550. Tanner said that he was happy and surprised about this total, which was higher than he expected.
With prices soaring above $200, students are looking at alternative methods when purchasing textbooks. Many students are well-informed of the used bookstore, Spotted Cow, which claims that it sells college textbooks at lower prices. When researching the prices from the ASU bookstore and the Spotted Cow, there was a small price difference.
With 11 full-time faculty members and 15 part-time, the music department continues to train and mold ASU students and the community's youth through various musical outlets. The music program at ASU, while genre specific, is open to students of all levels of training and backgrounds.
